Wellard Rural Exports has launched an innovative new range of forward contracts for export dairy heifers, providing farmers with greater certainty, security and opportunity.
The forward contracts enable farmers to lock in prices for suitable Friesian heifers (PTIC and unjoined) up to a year in advance, with agreed delivery dates also predetermined – providing a great risk management tool.
The ability to offer forward contracts or direct sale pricing to farmers stems from our Oceanic division and from close links with our overseas customer base to guarantee livestock vessel availability.
